James L. Brooks’ ‘Ella McCay’ Bumped to December Release Date by Disney

Disney delayed the release of "Elio," moving it by a week, while Sam Raimi's "Send Help" and James L. Brooks' "Ella McCay" saw their release dates bumped to align with awards season. "Ella McCay," Brooks' upcoming film about a politician balancing work and family, now opens on December 12, after being pushed from September 19. Meanwhile, "Send Help," a horror film starring Rachel McAdams, is set for January 30, facing competition from "Aang: The Last Airbender." Both films highlight Disney's strategic planning to maximize audience appeal and award show presence.
