Gazans Once Escaped To Rafah. Now Israel Is Razing It.

Since the end of a pause in hostilities earlier this year, Israeli forces have intensified their operations on Rafah, part of Gaza, razing hundreds of buildings and targeting key areas. Satellite imagery shows that as much as 70% of Rafah has been destroyed since early May, with no signs of respite. In addition to clearing the land, Israel is constructing new roads, including the Morag Corridor, aiming to isolate the enclave from the rest of Gaza. While tensions remain high, Netanyahu has rejected calls for rebuilding Jewish settlements in Rafah.
