Japan's rainy season begins in southern Kyushu

The rainy season in southern Kyushu began earlier than any other part of Japan for the first time since 1951, marking a significant milestone. This early start is 14 days before the usual timing and 23 days ahead of last year's record. The change appears linked to unusual weather patterns, including a strong Pacific high-pressure system pushing rain toward the north and westerlies drifting further north than average this year.
