Lucid’s record quarter got a lift from rental sales and company leases

Lucid Motors shattered its quarterly delivery record by shipping 3,109 electric vehicles to customers across North America, Europe, and Saudi Arabia, largely due to its revamped company car program and sales to rental fleets. The automaker has seen five straight quarters of growth despite a challenging start to the year, with CEO Marc Winterhoff highlighting the importance of rising demand for its luxury sedan, the Air, as it focuses on scaling production of its first SUV, the Gravity.
