NY Town Official Charged After DoorDash Driver Shot in Driveway, on Video

A DoorDash driver was injured after a confrontation in upstate New York when Chester Highway Superintendent John Rielly, a licensed firearms dealer, turned the encounter deadly by shooting the worker in the back, hospitalized him with severe injuries. Video from a Ring doorbell captured the incident, showing Rielly firing multiple shots as the deliveryman tried to leave his vehicle. The Superintendent was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon following the encounter.
