NASA’s Mars orbiter snapped this image of Curiosity trucking along down at the surface

Despite moving at a mere 0.1 mph, NASA captured an image of the Curiosity Mars rover's journey from Gediz Vallis to its next destination on February 28, showing a 1,050-foot trail with the rover leading. This photo marks the first time we've seen the rover mid-drive across Mars, and the dust trails are expected to persist for months before being erased by wind. Curiosity is poised to reach its new science site in the coming weeks.
