Pope Francis, the first Latin American leader of the Roman Catholic Church, has passed away at 88 after battling double pneumonia. The Vatican announced his death on Easter Monday through a video statement. Cardinal Kevin Farrell made the somber announcement on Vatican TV, addressing him as "our Holy Father Francis."
