Museum opens in Czech Republic at site where Oskar Schindler saved 1,200 Jews

A dilapidated industrial site in the Czech Republic, where Oskar Schindler saved 1,200 Jews during World War II, is now home to a museum dedicated to the Holocaust. The former textile factory in Brněnec has been transformed into the Museum of Survivors, marking the 80th anniversary of WWII's end. Daniel Löw-Beer, a driving force behind the project, aims to preserve historical memory and educate future generations about Schindler’s saving act and the region’s Jewish history. Despite initial skepticism and funding challenges, the museum has secured support from local communities and global partners like the European Union, and it already hosts school education programs.
