Hokkaido fisher to hold memorial service for tour boat accident victims

A local fishing operator in Hokkaido is organizing a shipboard ceremony to honor those lost when the Kazu I sank off the Shiretoko Peninsula three years ago, allowing volunteer fisher Kenji Sakurai to finally say goodbye to his colleagues. After dedicating his life to search efforts following the tragedy, Sakurai will gather family and crew members around July to mark the event near where the boat was found.
