Donald Trump Removes Doug Emhoff And Other Joe Biden Appointees From U.S. Holocaust Museum’s Board

Donald Trump has fired Doug Emhoff and other former Biden appointees from the United States Holocaust Memorial Council after questioning whether anti-Semitic issues should be politicized. Emhoff denied turning the museum into a political tool during his statement, though he was among several high-level Biden officials—including Anthony Bernal, Susan Rice, Tom Perez, and Ron Klain—who were also removed by Trump earlier this year, similar to their removal from the board of the Kennedy Center. The council traditionally includes appointees from each administration until their terms expire, but Trump has sought to eliminate prior appointees altogether.
