Bluesky launches blue check verification

Bluesky is enhancing trust on its platform by introducing blue check verification, similar to Twitter's feature. Initially, it will partner with Trusted Verifiers—independent organizations that can verify their team members' accounts. Bluesky already uses domain-based verification for user authentication, and the new blue check adds a visual layer to combat impersonation, especially for public figures. For now, applications aren't open, but users can expect a request form in the future.
