Nobel laureates urge Trump, Putin to meet on denuclearization

In an urgent appeal for action amid escalating tensions, three Nobel Peace Prize-winning organizations — led by Japan’s atomic bomb survivors and international bodies advocating against nuclear weapons — have called on U.S. and Russian leaders to meet and negotiate a path toward nuclear disarmament. The groups, including the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) and the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, sent a joint letter to President Trump and Vladimir Putin, urging prompt de-escalation and meaningful discussions on denuclearization.
