Sesame Street will air on Netflix and PBS simultaneously

PBS is teaming up with Netflix for the first time to expand Sesame Street's reach while keeping it free on public TV in the U.S. The 56th season will premiere on Netflix and PBS stations across the country, ensuring children worldwide can enjoy the show while those in the U.S. continue to access it for free on their local channels. New episodes will now come out same-day on both platforms, with shorter 11-minute stories replacing the longer original format, plus returning old favorites like Elmo's World and Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck.
