The world is waking up to the dangers of superpollutants

Climate change poses one of the most pressing challenges of our time. While carbon dioxide remains a dominant greenhouse gas, other potent pollutants like methane, black carbon, hydrofluorocarbons, and tropospheric ozone contribute significantly to current warming despite existing for much shorter periods than CO2. These "super pollutants" account for about 45% of the observed warming today, highlighting their substantial impact as we navigate toward managing global temperatures effectively.
